JaincoTech, the recognized leader in integrated digital imaging services, and Elizabeth Whiting Associates (EWA), today announced a partnership to provide JaincoTech’s high-quality scanning services through EWA’s facility in London, UK. The new office, dubbed JaincoTech UK, will serve as a local option for European, and in particular UK, clients looking to outsource their film scanning.

Clients will now have the option of sending their scanning work to three locations including Solon, Ohio, USA and Mumbai, India.

Clients will benefit from a newly negotiated UK scan price that ensures original images will stay in the country while the digitized images are sent to India for post-scan processing (color correction, dust spotting, retouching and keywording) in order to take advantage of the lower international rates of JaincoTech India.

EWA is based in Camden Town London, from which they operate their Photo Library which specializes in interior decoration.  Having existing for many years as a well-respected analogue library they are now fully digitized and are developing the fast-growing website www.ewastock.com.  EWADigital was formed four years ago to undertake the digitization of the existing library and take responsibility for the quality control side of new digital submissions. In order to make full use of our Imacon Flextight Scanners we have also provided a scanning and retouching service for photographers, designers, etc. throughout the UK.  We have not had the necessary staff to undertake bulk scanning jobs which needed  time-consuming retouching, keywording, etc., but our partnership with JaincoTech will make this possible and clients who don’t want their original transparencies to leave the UK will be able to rest easy in the knowledge that only the digital files will be leaving the country.  We will continue to service our existing client base as before, offering a complete scanning and retouching service for small batches of fewer than 25 images.
